A smile broke slowly on Donna’s face as she realised, “I can come?”
“Yeah, yeah. Course you can. Yeah.” A grin spread across the Doctor’s face, “I’d love you to come!”
“Oh, ha haa!” Donna rushed forward to hug to Doctor but stopped mid-stride. The Doctor, open arms waiting, had a forced grin on his face. “Car keys!”
The Doctor kept his forced grin and spoke through his teeth, “What?”
“My mum’s car keys! I won’t be a minute!” She rushed past the Doctor and he  turned to watch her go, looking surprised, but sad. He walked slowly over to pick up Donna’s very own ‘Planet of the Travel Bags’ one by one and carry them into the TARDIS.

Donna walked round the corner, trying to quell her mother’s fast and amazed chatter about the recent events. “I know mum. I saw it. Little fat people! Listen, I’ve gotta go. Gonna stay with Vina for a bit.
Her mum couldn’t quite believe it, “But did you see the sky?”
“I know. Space ship. But, I’ve still got the car keys. Look there’s a bin, on Brook Street, about thirty feet from the corner I’m gonna leave’em in there.”
“What! A bin!”
“Yes I said a bin!
“But you can’t do that!”
“Oh stop complaining! The car’s just down the road a bit! Gotta go. Really, gotta go. Bye!”
“But Donna you ca…” Cutting her outraged mother off in mid-sentence, Donna looked around, dazed at what was finally happening to her and called to a blonde girl she saw leaning against the barrier.
“Listen! There’s this woman who’s gonna come along. A tall blonde woman called Sylvia. Tell her that bin there!” She pointed, “Alright? It’ll make sense. That bin there!” She grinned, a huge smile lighting up her face, and ran off.

The blonde woman turned back to the crime scene. Rose looked as if she was holding off tears and looked around at the devastation. She turned away, walking across the street; spreading her arms to the air and sky.

Donna came to a sudden halt, realising she had forgotten to thank the kind woman, the woman who hadn’t actually said yes. She turned around and began to rush towards her. The woman was walking away. Taking a breath to shout across, she stopped herself, watching, stunned, as the woman spread her arms, turned her face to the sky, and faded from existence.
Her mind was in a whirl. Why had she just… disappeared? Surely it wasn’t a hoax! Huon energy? But she herself had glowed when that happened! Donna spun and sprinted for the TARDIS. She had to tell the Doctor.

The Doctor looked up from the console, prepared to make the usual speech and answer the usual questions, when he saw Donna’s appearance. It looked like she’s been running, fast.
Donna tried to get the words out, “Doctor, there, there was this girl,” The Doctor nodded, listening to her breathy and speeding talk, “This blonde girl. Shoulder length straight hair that curled inwards slightly at the bottom and there was some in the middle that was tied back over her head.” She took in deep breaths, not noticing that the Doctor had actually started listening intently, “I, I told her to tell my mum where I’d put the keys and I rushed off. I didn’t think, I just ran off! Then I realised that I’d forgotten to thank her and I turned around and, and…”
“And what?” The Doctor was obviously deeply interested.
“She faded away!”
“What?”
“She faded away! Just like that! Like that TARDIS of yours dematerialising! Do I need to make it any clearer Timelord?”
“No no no no no! It can’t be! Oh please! PLEASE! Just this once! Please let her come back! Oh PLEASE!” He sprinted past her and collided with the TARDIS doors which he crashed through and disappeared.
“Why you running off like that! Please what?” This was getting on Donna’s nerves. “I’ve already done enough running today!”

Ten minutes later a dazed and very confused police officer was watching the Doctor, some guy from HQ, type at what must be light speed on the keyboard controlling the CCTV cameras. He’d crashed through the doors yelling something about some very recent footage he needed to see for evidence of a crime. Well what else do you use evidence for here? Now he slammed his finger down on the enter key and up came some video from ten minutes ago, showing the girl who’d arrived with him throwing some car keys in a bin.
“This your crime then sir?” The officer got no reply as he watched the stranger's face light up. Practically fusing his face with the screen the man analysed every pixel as the blonde girl turned towards the camera.
For the Doctor the moment seemed like hours. He watched her face turn and let out a yell of triumph when he saw it. “Yes! Yes! YES YES YES YES YES!!!!”
The Officer was still very confused. “What’s with all the yes’s?” he asked sarcastically to the other girl.
“I think that’s an old friend.” Donna replied, looking-into-space in the Doctor’s direction.
“Oh yes! A very old and dear friend indeed” The Doctor was ecstatic! “Oh Rose Tyler am I proud of you!” Then his face fell into a mixture of sadness and complete puzzlement as she faded away before his eyes. “What… How?” He spun to face Donna. “Donna Noble let me introduce you to the amazing Rose Tyler! Bit out of time but it’s the best I can do! Now! The big question is are you going to come and investigate that little big of time and space that she just disappeared into?”
“Why would I want to be anywhere else?” Donna grinned as the Doctor swept her up in a huge hug.
“Off we go then! To infinity and beyond! And for once I could mean that literally!” He dashed off pulling Donna behind him.
This is my entry for the :icondoctorwhoclub: writing contest. I've had to edit it down to 1000 words but still.... ^^

I've also figured out a random way for the Doctor and Rose to meet in Planet of the Ood... randomly. I might write it down actually.... ^^
